Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal Bankers’ Association (NBA) has called for an amendment to the Bank and Financial Institutions Act to allow the unsold non-banking assets to be leased out. The NRNA has demanded this by preparing a recommendation to the Nepal Rastra Bank for the monetary policy for the coming fiscal year. <\/p>\n
The association has also said that directed loans should be implemented in the health and education sectors. <\/p>\n

Likewise, it has said that initiatives should be taken to amend the Bank and Financial Institutions Act to allow the leasing of non-banking assets accumulated in banks but not sold. <\/p>\n
The Bankers’ Association has also given priority to the issue of banks opening branches abroad. The association has said that the provision of bad loans and risk of 5 percent fixed for opening branches abroad should be amended keeping in view the current situation. <\/p>\n
The Sangh has also shown interest in the centralized KYC system that has been raised for a long time. The association has demanded that the centralized KYC system be fully implemented to end the hassle of customers submitting details to different banks time and again. <\/p>\n
Similarly, bankers have demanded that a common platform should be created between the police and banks to exchange information to protect customers from the increasing digital frauds in recent times. <\/p>\n
