Kathmandu. A total of 1,453 bodies have been recovered till 8 am on Friday due to the devastating floods in Bhotekoshi in Rasuwa. Of them, 236 were found in Rasuwa, 204 in Nuwakot, 72 in Dhading, 368 in Chitwan, 79 in Gorkha, 38 in Tanahun, 232 in Nawalparasi East and 222 in Nawalparasi West. <\/p>\n
Similarly, 2 people died in course of treatment in Kathmandu while some employees of banks and financial institutions are still missing. <\/p>\n
So far, 1,334 bodies have been collected (preserved under the soil) after completing the necessary procedures to identify the bodies found. A total of 3,389 DNA samples, including 1,329 of the deceased and 2,060 of the relatives, have been collected for the identification of the bodies. <\/p>\n
Also, the details of 1,421 unidentified bodies have also been uploaded on the website of Nepal Police. So far, 7,975 police personnel have been deployed in the flood-affected areas for rescue, search, relief distribution, dead body management and other works. The search for 4,718 missing people is underway so far. <\/p>\n
