Salapa Bikas Bank incurs loss of Rs 31.89 lakh

Kathmandu. Salpa Bikas Bank has published its financial statements for the third quarter of the current fiscal year. The bank has published its unaudited financial statements for the third quarter of the current fiscal year 2082/83.

The bank has a loss of Rs 31.89 lakh as of the third quarter. The bank had posted a loss of Rs 35.84 lakh in the same period of 2081/82 BS. The bank’s operating loss stood at Rs 31.89 lakh in the review period. The bank’s operating loss was Rs. 35.84 million in the same period of the previous year.

In the first half of the current FY, the bank’s net interest income stood at Rs 5.57 crore. It was 6.77 per cent higher than the previous year. The bank had posted a net profit of Rs 5.22 crore in the same period last year. As of mid-April, the distributable profit of the bank stood at Rs 43.48 crore. In the previous year, the bank’s distributable profit was negative at Rs 56.87 crore.

Similarly, the bank’s retained earnings stood at Rs 91.33 million with Rs 52.23 crore in paid-up capital and Rs 2.87 crore in reserve. As of mid-July of the previous year, the bank’s retained earnings were negative by Rs 1.09 crore and reserve of Rs 2.66 crore. As of mid-April, the bank collected deposit of Rs 1.49 billion and extended loan of Rs 1.19 billion. As of mid-July of the previous year, the bank collected deposit of Rs 1.38 billion and extended loan of Rs 1.09 billion.

Meanwhile, the bank’s NPL has come down to 0.10 percent as of mid-April. In the same period of the previous year, the NPA was 2.27 percent. The bank’s annual earnings per share (EPS) stood at negative at Rs 0.61 during the review period. The EPS of the bank was negative at Rs 1.02 in the same period last year.

The net worth per share of the bank is Rs 103.75.
