Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) has distributed uniforms and educational materials to students in rural areas. Nepal Bank Dhunche branch has distributed uniforms and educational materials to 92 students of seven schools in remote areas for the first time under its social responsibility program.
According to Krishna Tamang, branch manager of Rasuwa district, the school has handed over uniforms and educational materials to the students of community schools for the first time.
The bank provided uniforms and educational materials to the students of Bhimali Primary School, Parbatikunda Primary School, Gatlang, Gosaikunda Primary School, Amachhodingmo, Komin Shyame Wangphel Secondary School, Syafrubesi, Lingling Primary School and Rasuwa Secondary School, Dhunche.
On this occasion, Kishor Kumar Purkoti, Principal of Komin Shyame Wangphel Secondary School, on behalf of the schools, thanked the bank for boosting the morale of the students by providing uniforms and educational materials.
Manager Tamang said that the branch was established in Dhunche, the district headquarters as the first bank in 2033 BS, has made necessary arrangements to complete most of the work within five minutes by making its service delivery more effective. The bank has over 13,000 depositors, 600 loan customers and 5,000 customers at its Dhunche branch, said Prakash Dhakal, treasurer.
Similarly, assistant manager of Dhunche branch, Narayan Prasad Adhikari, said that the service recipients have been able to discharge the responsibility of distributing banknotes to various 17 banks and financial institutions in the district, paying all the government offices and keeping the amount collected as revenue efficiently. Nepal Bank was established in 1994 as the first bank in the country with its branches in all 72 districts of the country.
