Kathmandu. NMB Bank to close zero deposit account Issuing a notice, the bank has decided to close zero deposit accounts that have not been traded for the last 10 years.
KATHMANDU: NMB Bank has urged its account holders who have remained in zero balance for the past 10 years to update their accounts.TAG_OPEN_p_7
As per the directive of Nepal Rastra Bank, the bank has issued such a notice as there is a provision to close the accounts that have remained inactive for the last 10 years by publishing a public notice.TAG_OPEN_p_6
The bank has requested the concerned branch office to update and operate the account within 35 days from the date of publication of the notice.TAG_OPEN_p_5 If the account is not opened within the stipulated period, such accounts will be closed.
In addition, the details of zero reserve accounts that have been inactive for the last 10 years or more have also been made available on the bank’s website.TAG_OPEN_p_4
