Kathmandu. The 9th Annual General Meeting of Ganapati Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited has been concluded. The 9th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the microfinance company was held at Hotel Daybreak Begnas Lake, Pokhara at 11:30 am on Friday, March 26, 2002.
The AGM was inaugurated by Shilpa Pradhananga, Chairperson of the Board of Directors.
The AGM also elected 3 new directors on behalf of the promoter shareholders. Only 3 candidates have been elected unopposed for these posts. Shilpa Pradhananga and Shiva Raj Bhandari representing Guheshwori Merchant and Finance Company Limited have been elected as directors of the company while Niraja Sharma (Sapkota) is the promoter of the company.
The meeting also endorsed the appointment of Kiran Bista of Lalitpur as an independent director and thanked her predecessor Archana Pradhan for her contribution.
All the proposals presented by the company’s chief executive officer and company secretary Bishnu Prasad Dhakal were unanimously endorsed. The meeting concluded with chairperson Shilpa Pradhananga. The financial institution which started its first business on December 9, 2016 has been providing financial services to its members in the rural areas through 43 branches in 23 districts.
