Kathmandu. The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) has arrested Jyoti Prakash Pandey, the chief executive officer of Nepal Investment Mega Bank.
Santosh Koirala, president of the Bankers’ Association, met with the CIB and urged the government not to criminalize the banking process.
Pandey, 63, was arrested with the help of District Police Office, Sindhuli, while he was hiding from Madan Bhandari Highway at Bus Park in Sindhuli on the night of 29 night, according to the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB).
According to the investigation, Smart Telecom has been working with the intention of breaking the government’s rights through the auction process of the physical structures and systems owned by the government after not renewing the license.
After the meeting with CIB, Chairman Koirala said that it is the first right of the bank to auction the collateral assets for the recovery of loans.
