Mega Bank CEO Pandey returns to Nepal Investment Bank

Kathmandu. Jyoti Prakash Pandey has returned to Nepal Investment TAG_OPEN_span_12 Mega Bank {{TAG_OPEN_span_11} Chief Executive Officer (CEO)(CEO). Pandey, who was taken under control by the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police, has returned to the bank.

Pandey, 63, was arrested with the help of District Police Office, Sindhuli while he was hiding from Madan Bhandari Highway at Bus Park in Sindhuli on the night of May 12.

He resumed the regular operations of the bank from Tuesday. The Supreme Court had issued an order to release him on May 1.

In the investigation, it was found that Smart Telecom was working with the intention of breaking the government’s rights through the auction process of physical infrastructure and systems owned by the government after not renewing the license. Pandey was involved in the process in his capacity as the chairman of the Loan Recovery Committee.

Police found him during a vehicle check when he tried to flee the scene by switching off the mobile phone he was using.

In addition to this, Nepal Investment Mega Bank had put a condition in the auction notice issued on 2082-06-03 for house rent and electricity bills of Rs 400 million.
