The arrested have been identified as Abdul Hamid, 38, of Siddharthnagargadh, India, and Anil Pasi aka Bikky, 22, of Lumbini Sanskritik Municipality-11.
A team from Area Police Office, Lumbini, arrested them based on information that counterfeit currency was being traded in Lumbini Sanskritik Municipality.
Police confiscated 30 pieces of fake Nepali currency notes of Rs 500 denomination, Rs 100, Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 denominations, four sets of printed paper rim, two mobile phones and one pair of scissors from them.
