Kathmandu. Police have recovered Rs 5.5 lakh from the police station. Police have confiscated Rs 5.50 lakh from Abhirav of Mayadevi Rural Municipality-2 in Kapilvastu district.
Police confiscated Rs 5,48,500 from under the seat of a motorcycle (Lu 35 Pa 8959) en route to Charkachaura from Pakdi on July 4.
Acting on a tip-off, police chased the motorcyclist, but the rider fled the scene. Police said that the cash was found hidden under the seat of the motorcycle during the screening.
Police said that preparations are underway to send the seized motorcycle and the money to Suthauli Customs.
