Land bought for Rs 1 crore Valuation of Rs 17 crore on the same day, loan of Rs 7 crore immediately God’s Connection in Kumari’s Case!

Kathmandu. Banks know how much process they have to go through and how long it takes to give a loan. But it may be surprising that if the bank wants to buy the land, it will be valued on the same day and the loan will be issued within the next 3 days and the valuation will be 15 times more than the value of the purchaser. However, two such incidents have surfaced. The connection of the characters of this case has also been seen in the recent scam case of Prabhu Bank.

A description of two incidents that show what happens in the name of loans in the bank when the wrong leadership is done

The first incident took place when Ramesh Raj Aryal was the CEO of the then NCC Bank (now Kumari).  The land was purchased for Rs 1.17 crore with the collusion of the then CEO of Kumari Bank, Ramesh Raj Aryal, who had purchased the land for Rs 1.17 crore on the same day, after which Rs 30 million and Rs 30 million were given within three days, another loan of Rs 4 crore was given to a total of Rs 7 crore. It has been claimed that the company DNS Investment Pvt Ltd was given loan worth millions of rupees in collusion with the then CEO of the bank, Ramesh Raj Aryal.

The second incident took place when Ramesh Raj Aryal was in the present Kumari i.e. the then NCC Bank. When Aryal was the CEO, the bank had given a loan of Rs 13.26 crore to Kumari Builders for Rs 1,05,90,000. The bank had also blacklisted the borrower after the loan was not repaid.

Later, Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank provided a loan of Rs 160 million in the name of International Club to purchase the land. The amount was transferred to Prabhu Bank amounting to Rs 12.51 crore.

This case is somewhat old. However, after the shareholders of Kumari Bank came to know about it, an application was filed with the Rastra Bank in 2081 BS for investigation. The petitioners, who came in contact with Artha Khabar, have complained that there was no investigation on the petition.

The petitioner has claimed that the valuator who made the valuation at that time and the valuator of Asian Village Resort, who is currently the debtor in the case of Kumari Bank’s Rs 48 crore scam, is the same i.e. Sigma Valuer. Ramesh Raj Aryal, who was accused of collusion in this case in the then NCC Bank, is now the director of Prabhu Bank. In this way, the petitioner doubts whether Ramesh Raj Aryal is supporting the case of Prabhu Bank worth Rs 48 crore for fear of being trapped as a director. He also claimed that he was not allowed to speak when he tried to raise this issue in the general meeting of Prabhu Bank.

Ramesh Raj Aryal, on the other hand, could not be contacted for contact, while a source at the Rastra Bank said that they have taken notice of the incident and should seek the latest update. However, the central bank argues that there are many cases of overvaluation and the regulator is serious about the cases of overvaluation the next day. Ramesh Raj Aryal is the same banker who had been asked by the Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) to step down from the bank, claiming that he had taken millions of rupees more than his salary while leaving Kumari Bank. When Ramesh Raj Aryal was the CEO, the forms filled up while opening an account in the bank were also found in the maize burning area. The senior officials of Kumari Bank have been saying that Kumari is still trapped in crores of rupees due to the hassles, scandals, overvaluation and other cases that took place when Aryal was the CEO.

Prabhu Bank is currently in police custody along with the then Chief Business Officer of the bank, Rashmi Pant and officials of the resort in connection with the Rs 48 crore loan given to a resort by such an overvaluation.
