. The next hearing of the contempt of court case filed against Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Prabhu Bank Suman Sharma has been fixed for August 12. Earlier, a division bench of Justices Saranga Subedi and Tek Prasad Dhungana was scheduled for hearing the case on August 9.
Ambir Babu Gurung had filed a contempt of court case against Suman Sharma, CEO of Prabhu Bank, at the Supreme Court on July 15.TAG_OPEN_p_11 Gurung had filed a case at the Supreme Court against CEO Sharma for defying the court’s order.
} Earlier, the first hearing of the case was adjourned on August 2 citing ‘not to be seen’. After that, the hearing was scheduled for August 25, but the case was postponed again after the case was ‘not to be heard’ in the bench.
Now the hearing of the case has been fixed for August 29. If the hearing is not adjourned, the Supreme Court will hear the contempt of court case against CEO Sharma on that day.
If the CEO of the bank is found guilty, he could face a cash fine and jail sentence as per the law. See also:
