Jyoti Prakash Pandey and Ncell owner Jyoti Prakash Pandey accept ‘Dashi Evidence’

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu District Court has accepted the WhatsApp conversation between CEO of Nepal Investment Mega Bank Jyoti Prakash Pandey and Ncell owner Satish Lal Acharya as evidence. The court had issued the order against the then chairman of Nepal Telecommunication Authority Bhupendra Bhandari, Jyoti Prakash Pandey and Satish Lal Acharya on charges of fraud, organized crime and banking fraud ।

A single bench of Kathmandu District Court Judge Umanath Gautam issued the verdict on the preliminary verdict that Ncell, Smart Cell and Nepal Investment Mega Bank were involved in the auction of government property.

WhatsApp conversations between Acharya and Pandey have been presented in the charge sheet in this case, which reached the court after a long investigation by the CIB. During the conversation, the bank’s CEO Pandey expressed his intention to work as per Acharya’s interest. The court has ordered the communication to be kept in the court record.
