Kathmandu. Global IME Bank’s Timure branch has also been flooded. The floods in Rasuwa have caused a huge loss to the branch office of Global IME Bank.
Some employees have also lost their contact after the flood swept away the branch office. The head office of the bank has not been able to contact the staff of the branch immediately as communication and road connectivity has been disrupted in the flood-affected areas.
According to Nepal Bankers’ Association (NBA), the floods have damaged the branches of various commercial banks in Rasuwa. According to preliminary information, the branch building, banking equipments and other equipment have also been damaged.
Santosh Koirala, president of Nepal Bankers’ Association, said efforts were underway to contact the employees and collect details of the damages.
The Confederation of Banks and Financial Institutions (CFI) has also said that at present, it has given priority to getting information about the condition of employees and rescue coordination rather than the details of physical damage.
