Kathmandu. Himalayan Bank Limited has provided financial assistance to the people affected by the floods. The government has announced a financial assistance of Rs 30.1 crore for the rescue, relief and rehabilitation of those affected by the devastating floods in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa.
On the morning of August 10, the sudden flood in the Bhotekoshi river flowing through Rasuwa district had caused a lot of damage to the residents of the Bhotekoshi and Trishuli rivers. The bank has decided to provide this amount as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to help those affected by the natural disaster.
The bank said in a statement issued on Monday that the bank will deposit the amount in the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund. The bank said that the loss of life and property due to the unexpected floods has deeply saddened the bank family and urged all those affected to have patience in this tragic time.
According to the bank’s press and public relations officer, Sheetal Koirala, the bank stands with the affected communities in this time of crisis and expressed solidarity in the rescue and relief operations. The bank has expressed its readiness to provide additional support and coordination to the residents of the affected areas in the coming days.
