Nabil Bank announces 15.80% dividend to shareholders

Kathmandu. Nabil Bank has proposed to distribute dividend to the shareholders. The bank has proposed to distribute a total dividend of 15.80 percent to the shareholders from the distributable profit of the financial year 2082-83.

The 712th meeting of the board of directors of the bank has proposed 15.80 percent dividend of 5 percent bonus shares and 10.80 percent cash dividend.

The total amount for the proposed bonus shares is Rs 1,35,28,49,836.46 and the cash dividend is Rs 2,92,21,55,646.76. The amount also includes tax on bonus shares and cash dividends.

Similarly, the meeting has proposed to distribute cash dividend of Rs 23,44,24,657.53 (213 days from the date of allotment in FY 2082-83) at the rate of 8 percent of paid-up capital (including tax).

The bank has a paid-up capital of Rs 5 billion in preference shares and Rs 27.05 billion in ordinary shares with a paid-up capital of Rs 27.05 billion. The dividend has been proposed with an aim to provide reasonable returns to the shareholders on the basis of satisfactory financial results and sustainable business growth achieved by the bank in the financial year 2082-83.

The dividend distribution will be implemented only after the approval of Nepal Rastra Bank and approval from the upcoming general meeting of the bank.
