NIC Asia ready to pay 1 percent additional tax on erstwhile NIC Bank

Kathmandu. The tax fixed by the Large Taxpayers’ Office, Lalitpur, to the then NIC Asia Bank (now NIC Asia Bank) has finally agreed to pay 1 percent additional tax. The bank has agreed to pay the tax by withdrawing the case from the Supreme Court.

The tax was assessed by the Large Taxpayers’ Office on the then NIC Asia. After that, NIC went to the administrative court. After losing the case there, NIC went to the court to appeal. There was arrears of tax for a long time.

This time, NIC Asia is ready to pay the tax by withdrawing the case and waiving the remaining penalty after the government paid 1 percent. See also:
