The Rastra Bank has stopped the use of AI after confidential documents started being uploaded to AI in the name of seeking help from AI. The Rastra Bank has taken this step after sensitive and confidential documents of the bank started being uploaded to the external AI system while taking help from the AI.
The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has directed its employees to take precautions, saying that there is a risk that sensitive information, documents and details related to the organization could reach the external system while using AI.
} The use of various AI tools, especially those used to make office work easier, upload documents, store information, or send content for analysis can pose a risk to privacy and information security.
In recent times, AI-based tools have become increasingly used in office work. Employees have started taking the help of AI for writing, translation, fact-analysis, report preparation, summarizing, and reviewing various documents.
However, entering the internal and sensitive details of the organization in such devices is likely to reach the information beyond the control of the organization concerned.
