Kathmandu. A total of 36 people donated blood at a blood donation program organized by Nerude Mirmire Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited in Biratnagar.
The blood donation program was jointly organized by the organization’s Koshi Province Office and Bargachhi Branch Office on Wednesday. About 60 people, including the employees of the organization and the local public, participated in the program which started at 7 am.
36 pints of blood collected from the program were donated to the Provincial Blood Transfusion Service, Biratnagar, under the Nepal Red Cross Society. The Provincial Blood Transfusion Service provided technical support for the blood donation program.
According to the organization, the program has been organized with the aim of reducing the shortage of blood in hospitals and helping to save the lives of patients who need blood. The program has contributed to fulfilling social responsibility through humanitarian services like blood donation and increasing the sense of support and service in the community.
Nerude Mirmire Laghubitta, which has been active in social and public welfare activities along with providing financial services, has pledged to continue its programmes focused on the welfare and welfare of the community in the days ahead.
