Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has issued the Integrated Directive on Payment System 2082. The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has issued the Integrated Directive on Payment System-2081 issued to the institutions licensed to carry out payment related activities, 2081 and the circulars and amendments issued by April 15, 2082.
The NRB has included provisions related to risk management, protection of customers’ interests, prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing and interconnectedness and access of payment systems.
With the issuance of this directive, the licensed commercial banks will be able to issue cards for the purpose of collecting road usage fee from the vehicles plying on the roads and road sections specified by the Government of Nepal.
