Kathmandu. A man has been found cheated by Himalaya Bank. Purna Ghimire of Dharan-11 has been cheated by Himalaya Bank. He has complained that he has not received justice from the court but has not received Rs 63,000 yet.
Complaints related to banking services have been increasing in recent times. The service recipients have expressed their dissatisfaction through posters in public places and claimed that the amount has been deducted from their accounts unauthorizedly and they have been facing problems related to loan and interest.
The poster alleges that Himalayan Bank has once again looted money from citizens’ accounts. The service recipients have demanded an investigation from the regulatory body saying that they did not get a proper solution even after contacting the bank time and again.
He also said he was ready to provide evidence. According to banking experts, such complaints need to be taken seriously. Transparency in customer service, clear information flow, and the need to further strengthen the grievance resolution system have been pointed out.
An official response from the concerned bank is awaited. There is also a demand that the Nepal Rastra Bank should increase monitoring of such issues and protect the rights of consumers.
