Kathmandu. Interbank transactions between banks and financial institutions have declined. In the last nine months of the current fiscal year 2082/83, inter-bank transactions stood at Rs 892.21 billion.
In the same period of the previous year, inter-bank transactions amounted to Rs 1.512 trillion. During the review period, inter-bank transactions of commercial banks stood at Rs 749.01 billion and other financial institutions (excluding commercial banks) amounting to Rs 143.20 billion.
In the previous year, commercial banks had transacted Rs 1363.81 billion while other financial institutions had transacted Rs 148.31 billion.
