Kathmandu. A case of fraud and forgery has been filed against six persons including a woman in Kaski on the charge of availing loan worth Rs 4.5 million by creating a fake person in the name of her husband who is abroad.
The land registered in the name of Mohan Bahadur Shahi of Pokhara Metropolitan City-30, Dhungepatan in Kaski district was mortgaged by his wife Banti Shahi and Bhadra Thapa of Surkhet.
Mohan Bahadur Shahi had filed a complaint against the accused after he came to know that his land was mortgaged after returning from abroad. After the investigation, the Public Prosecutor’s Office filed a case against 6 people and demanded punishment and compensation.
