Kathmandu. Everest Bank has launched Nepal-India cross-border real-time remittance service. In line with the recently concluded Nepal-India Interstate Fund Transfer Agreement, Everest Bank Limited has officially launched ‘Real Time Cross-Border Remittance Service’ between Nepal and India through its mobile banking app.
With this innovative digital service, citizens of both countries will now be able to make instant payments in a fast, simple and secure manner.
According to the new management, certain limits have been set for the transfer of funds through this service. Under this scheme, Indian citizens working in Nepal can send a maximum of Rs 15,000 per day and a maximum of Rs 1,00,000 per month.
Similarly, Nepalese and Indian nationals working in India can remit up to a maximum of INR 200,000 per day without any monthly limit. Under the new system, customers of both the countries will be able to send money easily by using the recipient’s mobile number or virtual payment address (Virtual Payment Address). Users in India will also be able to receive money directly through their Unified Payments Interface ID.
