Why did the police not allow the CEO of Prabhu Bank to enter Singha Durbar? Here’s why I couldn’t go to the meeting with the finance minister.

Kathmandu. On Tuesday, the Finance Minister had called the CEOs of commercial banks for discussions. The CEOs of 17 commercial banks reached Singha Durbar on time. The CEOs of only three banks did not turn up. The meeting was attended by CEO of Rastriya Banijya Bank Devendra Raman Khanal, CEO of Agriculture Development Bank Govinda Gurung and CEO of Prabhu Bank Suman Sharma. It has been revealed that out of the 3 people who did not attend the meeting, the CEO of Prabhu Bank returned after reaching the gate of Singha Durbar.

The reason why Suman Sharma was stopped at the gate was that his vehicle number was wrongly marked on the gate. He arrived a little late that day as his contempt of court case was heard in the Supreme Court. He could not coordinate further as those who had coordinated to call him to the meeting were also in the meeting with the Finance Minister. The police did not allow him to enter, saying that the number of the vehicle he was travelling in was not in the record. He arrived late and then returned to the office.

After the meeting, the CEOs of other banks contacted him to ask why he did not come.TAG_OPEN_div_12 One of the CEOs told Banking World that he was stopped at the gate and returned to the office. Sharma could not be contacted on his mobile phone. However, he has told many CEOs that he was not allowed to enter by the police.
