Contempt of court case filed against Prabhu Bank CEO: Appearance after 5 months, suspicion of ‘trying to get Sharma’ released?

. The next hearing of the contempt of court case filed against Prabhu Bank’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Suman Sharma has been fixed for January 5. Earlier, a division bench of Justices Kumar Regmi and Sunil Kumar Pokhrel was scheduled for hearing the case on August 12.

Ambir Babu Gurung had filed a contempt of court case against Suman Sharma, CEO of Prabhu Bank, at the Supreme Court on July 15.

Gurung had filed a case at the Supreme Court against CEO Sharma for defying the court’s order.

Earlier, the first hearing of the case was adjourned on August 3, August 25 saying it could not be seen and on August 12 it was ‘not viewable’.

} After the case was ‘not heard’ in the bench, the case was remanded. However, when the case has been scheduled for 5 months, there has been criticism that this was done to save the CEO.

} If the CEO of the bank is found guilty in the contempt of court case, he can be fined and jailed as per the law.
