Kathmandu. Santosh Gyawali, branch manager of Prabhu Bank Limited, said that the loan approval and disbursement process in the bank is done according to certain levels and authority.
He has been working with Prabhu Bank since 2009. Initially, he worked as a junior assistant and now he is working as a branch manager at the Manigram branch.
He said that the loan proposals collected from the branch are sent through the concerned relationship manager to the head of the branch and to the head of the province or the head of the business center. After that, the proposal will go to the risk and debt management officials of the headquarters and the approval will be made within the stipulated jurisdiction.
The loan proposals collected from the head of the department will also be submitted to the department head through the relationship manager of the concerned department and then the process of review and approval will be initiated through the risk analyst, credit manager, country head retail loan, chief credit officer and chief business officer, among others.
The CIB has also recorded statements of six other bankers, including five bankers, who have been booked in connection with the Rs 48 crore fraud case. Dipendra Babu Bista working in the marketing department of the bank and 6 other bankers have also given statements in the case of Prabhu Bank.
