Nepali industries can take project loan from foreign banks and follow the laws of the country issuing the loan.

Kathmandu. Now the industries operating in Nepal will also be able to take loans from foreign banks. The draft amendment of the Industrial Enterprises Act, 2076 mentions such facilities.

However, the approval of the Nepal Rastra Bank is mandatory to take such a loan. While taking such a loan, the law of the concerned country should also be followed.

Market experts have given mixed reactions to this arrangement. One has said that this system is very good, while the other claims that taking a loan from a foreign bank in the absence of Nepal’s loan can lead to a bad situation in the future.
