Kathmandu. Kathmandu Valley has declared a public holiday on Friday on the occasion of Indra Jatra. As per the government’s decision to give a local holiday on the day of Indra Jatra for the Kathmandu Valley, the regular services of the government and most of the offices have been affected today.
However, keeping in mind the banking needs of the general public, various banks have opened limited branches and counters.
According to the government holiday list of 2083 B.S., a holiday was given in the Kathmandu Valley on the occasion of Indra Jatra on September 25. In the official calendar of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, today has been mentioned as ‘Indra Jatra’ and holiday.
Even though it is a public holiday, banks and financial institutions have made arrangements to keep some branches open to continue essential banking services. Banks have opened certain branches to provide cash transactions, cheque related services, deposit and other necessary banking services to their customers.
However, all the branches of the bank will not be open as per regular office hours.
Before visiting the bank today, customers can check the official information of the concerned bank and check which branch is open, what time to provide service and whether the required transaction will be done from that branch or not.
