Kathmandu. Suman Sharma, CEO of Prabhu Bank, has been found to have fled from Kathmandu to Parsa after an arrest warrant was issued against him. Initially, he was adamant that he would not go to the police but now he fled from Kathmandu to Parsa on force leave after the police came to the bank’s office.
A case of cheating and breach of trust was filed against four people, including Sharma, in a loan dispute related to the then Sunrise Bank. The case was prosecuted after he failed to appear when he was called to testify during the investigation and then the court allowed him to be arrested.
Sharma had been waiting for a few days after the arrest warrant was issued. Later, it is said that he went to Parsa after processing the e-mail of force leave at the bank. He is set to appear in court on Monday.
Meanwhile, some sources suspect that the ‘setting’ may have been created for him to appear in court without being under police control.
Prabhu’s CEO Sharma has reached Parsa with himself, lawyers and friends.
