Kathmandu. Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank Limited has handed over visibility jackets to city safari drivers. The bank distributed visibility jackets to 150 safari drivers in a program organized in Urlabari of Morang in coordination with Urlabari Municipality, Area Police Office, Urlabari and Traffic Police Office to promote road safety under the Corporate Social Responsibility Program.
On the occasion, the bank’s Koshi Province Chief Khimlal Bhusal handed over the jackets to the city safari drivers in the presence of Ganga Prasad Kharel, Mayor of Urlabari Municipality.
The program was attended by the Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Administrative Officer, Area Police Office, Urlabari and Traffic Police Office. The program was organized keeping in mind the safety and easy identification of the safari drivers who are deployed on the roads of Urlabari on a daily basis.
The bank expects that the use of visibility jackets will help the drivers to see clearly on the road and contribute to reducing the risk of possible accidents, especially in low light, evening hours and high traffic pressure. Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank has been implementing various programs of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the areas of road safety, financial literacy, digital awareness, education, health, etc., by identifying the needs of the community.
