‘Fintech Marketplace’ to be set up under the supervision of Nepal Rastra Bank

Kathmandu. The government is going to set up a ‘Fintech Marketplace’. Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle said this while presenting the budget for the coming fiscal year 2083/84.

Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) is going to set up a ‘Fintech Marketplace’. The government has also announced to establish a ‘National Asset Management Company’ within mid-January for the efficient management of bad loans and non-banking assets that are becoming challenging in the banking sector.

He also said that he would invest two crore rupees to encourage those involved in agriculture and livestock. The government has decided to incentivize farmers engaged in agriculture and livestock with minimum investment of up to Rs 20 million annually.

The government has also set a target to extend subsidized loans to real agriculture.
