Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Finance Committee of the House of Representatives (HoR) has held discussions with representatives of the bodies concerned on the bill designed to amend the Nepal Rastra Bank Act, 2058 BS. The meeting of the committee held discussions with the office-bearers of Nepal Bankers’ Association and Confederation of Bank and Financial Institutions regarding the bill.
Representatives from the Ministries of Finance, Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs and Nepal Rastra Bank were also present in the meeting.
The government had registered the bill in the federal parliament on May 24.
According to the Finance Ministry, the bill has been formulated to amend the NRB Act as it was desirable to make the country’s monetary and financial system more robust, credible and up to date.
