Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Two staffers of Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank have been sent to jail on the charge of misusing the money kept by customers. They have been arrested on the charge of embezzling Rs 2.85 crore from the Gokuleshwor branch of the bank.
The bank’s Darchula-based branch manager Sagar Shahi and Cash Department of the bank Nirmala Saud have been jailed.
Two persons arrested in the same case have been released on bail. Dhananjay Panta and Amba Dutta Panta have been released on bail of Rs 25 lakh.
