Kathmandu. So far, 1,411 people have been confirmed dead due to floods in Rasuwa. The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA) has released the updated data till 7 pm on Saturday.
Some bankers and employees working in the banking sector have also become incommunicado after the floods. It has been found that the employees of some banks and financial institutions in the flood-affected areas have not been contacted yet. The concerned banks and security agencies are searching and coordinating to ascertain the condition of the employees who have gone missing.
The deceased include 549 men, 336 women and 526 partial human organs. According to the NRA, 5,875 people are still missing due to the floods.
The floods have caused human casualties in various districts. According to the data collected, the highest number of 364 people have died in Chitwan. Similarly, 232 people have died in Nawalparasi East, 222 in Nawalparasi West, 203 in Nuwakot, 199 in Rasuwa, 72 in Gorkha, 72 in Dhading and 38 in Tanahun.
A total of 13,784 people have been rescued so far.
So far, 1,692 sorties were conducted by the Nepal Army and 320 by the Armed Police Force (APF) in the rescue works.
