A woman has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a bank manager of Himalayan Bank.

Kathmandu. A woman from Tansen has been arrested on the charge of thrashing the chief of Himalayan Bank Bank. Police have arrested Manju Regmi, proprietor of Regmi General Suppliers and Manju Regmi, proprietor of Regmi Stores, Palpa, Tansen, on charge of manhandling the manager of Himalayan Bank, Palpa.

He is accused of assaulting the manager of the bank, Prakash Subedi, at around 3:00 pm on February 10, 2002 on the pretext of not getting the loan.TAG_OPEN_div_6

She was arrested on Friday.TAG_OPEN_div_4 According to the bank manager, she was the proprietor of ‘Regmi General Suppliers’ and ‘Regmi Stores’ and had manhandled the bank’s branch chief Prakash Subedi at around 3:00 pm on February 9, 2002 in anger over not getting the loan. Regmi, on the other hand, has claimed that the allegations against her are false.
