Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank has organized the Mahalaxmi Corporate Cricket League 2026 Edition 5. On the occasion of its 32nd anniversary, the bank organized Mahalaxmi Corporate Cricket League 2026 Edition 5.
Prime Commercial Bank Ltd. has bagged the title of the tournament held in Kathmandu from Sunday 17th of May to Wednesday, May 2, Machhapuchchhre Bank Limited has secured the second position.
A total of 24 teams including 9 commercial banks, 7 development banks, 3 finance companies, 1 microfinance company, 3 insurance companies and 1 merchant bank participated in the competition. The prize distribution program for the winners of the competition was also held on June 5.
The trophy was handed over to Prime Commercial Bank in the presence of former national cricketer and former captain of Nepal National Cricket team, Gyanendra Malla.
Co-winner Machhapuchchhre Bank Limited was also awarded the runner-up trophy on the same occasion. Lumbini Bikas Bank’s Laxman Pradhan the best fielder, Sanima the best wicket-keeper, Anil Bhujel of GIC Insurance the best bowler, Srijan Subedi of Machhapuchchhre Bank the best batsman and Kritarth Shakya of Prime Commercial Bank were named the best bowler of the tournament. Sanima GIC Insurance has won the Fair Play Award.
